TEACHER, TWENTY FIVE, SARCASTIC, RYAN REYNOLDS, FUNNY, HETEROSEXUAL
" Hey, I'm Eric Grey, but the kids around here just call me Mr. Grey. I'd let them call me by my name, but the school believes it's too casual, but I let them call me by my name if they feel comfortable doing so. But yeah, I teach History and Science at the highschool.
I try my best to be the cool teacher, the one that kids don't fall asleep in my class. I make the class as interesting as possible, adding in jokes, describing things differently then the book would, you know, those kind of things. I like to think myself as funny as well, quick witted I guess you could say. I have a funny response for everything. Also, I'm sarcastic, it used to be a defense mechanism, but now I use it daily. You know, you could probably just sum me up as a pretty laid back kind of guy. I mean, I'm easy to talk to, funny, sarcastic, awesome. And yeah.
There's not much to my past, other than the fact that I didn't end up where I thought I would, like the majority of people out there. Growing up I was in a family of three boys, me being the youngest, father and a mother. Dad was a drunk, he'd go out to the pub every night while mom stayed in the kitchen and watched for him out the window, worrying all the time like she did.He didn't hit us, or my parents didn't fight at all, he was just a heavy drinker, and he gambled a whole lot. I liked my dad, I really did, I just didn't like what he did, that's all.
Us three brothers were really into sports, we all had our own sport we were good at. I was more into football, while my oldest brother was into baseball, and my other brother was into soccer. Dad was really set on us staying in sports, hoping we'd actually get somewhere with it, making sure we practiced as much as possible. He really had his eye on me though, prefering football over any sport, but he didn't have less interest with my other brothers, he just made sure he was at all my games in highschool, that sort of thing. I was doing good, I suppose. I was the quarterback, and was setting out to get a scholarship with it since we didn't have a whole lot of money to get places with. It happened, actually. I got one, got into school and whatever.
Also, through highschool I was a guitar playing guy, mostly because my mother had musical interest. She was a piano player though, but I had my eyes set on the guitar for quite some time, thinking of how cool it'd be to stand in front of thousands shredding a guitar and all that. But she mostly taught me acoustic stuff, which was alright, I suppose. I didn't use a whole lot of it once I was done of school, since I was busy studying and all that, as well as practices for the football team at college.
I ended up studying English first, before I decided the next year to go for History and Science. I hadn't planned on being a teacher at all, actually. I had no interest in teaching, it wasn't something I wanted to do, but it happened. My goal was to be a pro football player, but that never happened. So here I am, teaching highschool students. It's alright, actually. Not bad. Recently I was offered a job as the Glee club teacher, and ended up picking up the guitar for the first time since my teenage years. It's weird, since half the time I don't feel like being there, but it's growing on me, I guess. "
